child protection policy
Bingley St. Ives Golf Club Ltd. is committed to encouraging the participation and development of children in golf. We wish to provide them with a safe environment in which to play golf and use the facilities of the Club.
Bingley St. Ives Golf Club acknowledges its duty of care to safeguard children (those under 18) involved in golf within the club and that all children are entitled to protection and to have their particular needs taken into account.
The Club will, therefore, strive to ensure the safety and protection of all children involved in the Club, by applying the Child Protection Guidelines and code of conduct adopted by the Bingley St. Ives Golf Club Ltd.
It is the responsibility of all adult members of the club to assist in this endeavour.
‘JUNIOR GOLFERS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF A GOLF CLUB’S MEMBERSHIP AND THEREFORE SHOULD BE TREATED IN AN EQUITABLE MANNER.’
The Club has therefore implemented a code of conduct for members to be aware of and adhere to when they come in to contact with junior members, whether that be playing golf or socialising within the grounds and premises of the Club.
