dress code

Bingley St. Ives Golf Club has set standards of attire for members and visitors when using the course and clubhouse.
Our staff teams have been instructed by the Board of Directors to request anyone in breach of our dress code to leave the club premises or course immediately. We thank you in anticipation of your adherence to the club’s policy.
Please find a detailed outline below of acceptable attire in the various areas of the course and clubhouse to avoid the potential embarrassment or offence of being asked to leave.

THE CLUBHOUSE:
Smart casual wear are is required at all times.
Smart jeans are allowed in the clubhouse
Tailored shorts with white sports socks or knee length golf stockings may be worn up to 7.30pm.
Wet or soiled clothing is only allowed in the locker rooms.
Golf shoes are only allowed in the spike bar (19th) and locker rooms.
Hats, Caps and Visors may only be worn in the locker rooms.

THE COURSE & PRACTICE AREAS:
Smart golf wear is required at all times.
Jeans are not allowed on the golf course.
Shorts must be tailored and worn with white sports socks or knee length golf stockings.
Golf shoes must be worn when playing on the course or practice ground
Shirts must be worn tucked into trousers or shorts.
Shirts must not be removed
Trousers must not be tucked into socks except under wet weather wear.
Caps must be worn with peak at the front

NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME IN CLUBHOUSE OR ON THE COURSE:
Trainers*
Collarless or sleeveless shirts.
Football and Rugby shirts or socks.
Sports, Beach or Tennis shorts
Cargo pants or combat trousers
Track Suits.

* Discretion is allowed for juniors and children under 12 years old.

The Professional sells clothing which conforms to this policy should it be required.
